Meet Dr. Stephen Rashbaum

Dr. Stephen Rashbaum has been in practice in North Metro Atlanta since 2006 and and joins Dr. Singh as a partner at Digestive Care Physicians in May 2011. He is board-certified and recertified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Rashbaum specializes in the treatment of a variety of gastrointestinal issues, providing thorough clinical consultative evaluations and procedures such as colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, esophageal dilation, and capsule endoscopy.

Dr. Rashbaum is originally from South Florida. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis in 1995. Subsequently, he completed a Gastroenterology fellowship at University of Florida Health Science Center in Jacksonville, Florida in 1997.

In 1997, Dr. Rashbaum actively participated in clinical research on detection of Helicobacter pylori infection in patients with gastric ulcers. This resulted in abstract publication at the national meeting of the American Gastroenterological Association. More recently in 2008, he presented a clinical case-report poster on Tropical Sprue at the national meeting of the American College of Gastroenterology. Additionally, he has participated in other clinical research in the role of a subinvestigator.

He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, Medical Association of Georgia, and the Johns Creek Health Association.

He resides in Johns Creek with his wife and three daughters. He enjoys running, playing banjo, and spending time with his family. He has privileges at Emory Johns Creek Hospital, Northside Hospital Forsyth and North Fulton Hospital.
